Campaign update from Hurlford

Another busy day out on the campaign trail. Today i was out in Hurlford delivering my current intouch newsletter and speaking to residents.

Couple of concerns coming out from the residents in Hurlford that i spoke to, first being youth disorder. Residents are worried about the increasing amount of young people drinking in the park on a Friday and Saturday night. Broken glass is left everywhere, making the place unsafe for children.
I will be speaking to the local community police officer about this and will contact the council to ensure regular patrols are visiting parks to ensure our play parks are safe!

Second big issue on the door steps was separation from the UK. Whilst residents wanted to see more powers brought to Scotland they did not want to see Scotland separate from the rest of the UK.  As a committed Unionist i will be fighting to ensure we do not leave the UK and will also be supporting plans to look at further devolved powers.
