Campaign update for Hurlford

Saturday seen a fantastic afternoon on the campaign trail, so much so that I lost track of time and didn’t get back to early evening.

I received enormous support from the residents in Hurlford to our local government manifesto. Residents in Hurlford were pleased to see one of the local parties produce a manifesto which had vision for our great area and based on what local people want the priorities to be for our Councillors.

I spoke to a tradesman from Hurlford for a quite a while, he was a long standing Labour voter however over the past five years he has been disappointed by the broken promises and from not seeing the two Councillors in the local community speaking to residents. This tradesman will now be voting 1 for Rob Murray as he thinks I have the passion, vision and will to represent the people of Hurlford and work hard to attract new businesses to the area.

This is one of many examples of where through going out and speaking to the community is the most important part of these local government elections.
